Originally from Ohio, Joe moved to Arizona in 1974 to begin his hospitality career. He started at the Casa Blanca Inn in Scottsdale as a room service server and that is where he met Mr. Christiansen from Phelps, Wisconsin. While in Phelps, he worked at Smoky Lake Reserve as a Park Ranger during 1975. After returning to Arizona, he worked all Food and Beverage departmental positions at several hotels including The Arizona Biltmore, The Registry Resort, Sheraton Tempe Plaza, San Marcos Hotel and Hyatt Regency Scottsdale. After the Loma Prieta earthquake in ’89, Joe helped reopen the Hyatt SFO in Burlingame, California before accepting a Banquet Manager position at The Stanford Park Hotel in Palo Alto.
Upon returning to Arizona in the mid-90’s, Joe was hired as the Food and Beverage Director at John Gardiner’s Tennis Ranch, currently The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. He was the Director of Food and Beverage for both Western Skies and Club West Golf Club before moving to Troon North in Scottsdale where he was promoted to Regional Director of Food and Beverage. In 2008, Joe was hired as the Director of Food and Beverage at The Golf Club Scottsdale. In 2013, Joe rejoined Troon in Scottsdale as FB property support before moving to Birmingham, Alabama. Joe was promoted to GM of Pine Tree Country Club before moving to the Troon/Honours Birmingham Corporate office where he was the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage for SE United States.
Joe has two daughters, Megan and Chaney, both residing in the greater Milwaukee area and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management. Please welcome our newest member of our Corporate team, Joe Wilson, Senior VP of Operations-Food and Beverage.
Roy Michael, PGA, Regional Director of Operations
Roy Michael, Regional Director of Operations, PGA Professional, and Iowa native joined Green Golf Partners in 2015. As the former General Manager of Jester Park Golf Course and now new General Manager of Briarwood Club of Ankeny, Roy brings considerable expertise to the local courses in the group. Roy has built his success on understanding member's needs and customizing his approach to providing the best possible solutions. His 29 years of experience in public, private and resort facilities expands across Arizona, Florida and California and of course his home state of Iowa. Roy's dedication to fresh new ideas, high level of professionalism, high energy, and intense passion for making golf fun make him the perfect complement for Green Golf Partners field management.
Jeff Latin, Director of Facilities & Equipment
Jeff is driven by his passion and love for the game of golf. A true team player, Jeff is active in all areas of the GGP business structure. Prior to joining GGP, Jeff owned and operated All-Tech Automotive in Evanston, IL. He has 30+ years of mechanical and engineering experience and is an expert in all types of equipment and facilities. His mission is to protect and preserve our equipment and facilities and push GGP to the forefront of smart and environmentally responsible equipment and facility operations.
Brenda Schmeltzer, Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Brenda joined the Green Golf Partners team in March of 2014. As the company continues to grow, Brenda's knowledge and extensive HR background will provide much needed support to the growing number of associates. Brenda has worked in Payroll and Human Resources for over 15 years and works tirelessly to ensure policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
Toby Bonar, Accounting Manager
Toby has been with the team at Green Golf Partners since 1997. Being a lover of the great outdoors, the progression to golf course management seemed inevitable. Toby eagerly accepts the organizational challenge required to handle the accounting responsibilities for numerous projects. She is a team player and works tirelessly to assure a professional experience for our customers and employees alike.
Jamie Clements, Accounts Payable Manager
After 11 years of teaching middle school math, Jamie joined the Green Golf Partners team in 2013. Jamie takes care of all of the “fun” stuff in the office including entering invoices, billing, AP and whatever else is thrown her way. Jamie keeps the staff at HQ on track and pointed in the right direction.
Dylan Diewold, Senior Marketing Manager
Dylan is a blend of talent in production and social/digital marketing. He held internships in production, event marketing, and accounts at DDB Chicago and Momentum Worldwide. Those experiences led him to a position as Field Marketing Manager at Jay Avertising and an Account Executive/Brand manager at Schafer Condon Carter. Dylan has worked with many renowned companys such as the Food Network, the Travel Channel, and events such as the IDEAL National Championship and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Now, Dylan has shifted his focus to the golf industry where he's bringing the best in product and digital marketing to Green Golf Partners
Dylan graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing.
