Matthew C. McIntee, President, Principal, has more than 25 years of extensive golf industry experience. Matt joined Green Golf Partners after a very successful stint with Chicago-based Crown Golf Properties where he served as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development. During his tenure with Crown Golf he was responsible for its expansion by identifying, evaluating and executing all acquisitions for the company. Additionally, he was involved in the development and ongoing operation of every major management contract. Matt’s influence extended beyond acquisitions as he played a key role in developing Crown’s CRM platforms with Tribal DDB and its award winning loyalty program CrownRewards with Sitewire. Matt has been involved in every phase of the golf industry and all types of projects – from municipal to high-end daily fee, and resort to private club.
His expertise in acquisitions, business development and all aspects of golf operations has served him well as a consultant for many Fortune 500 companies and major developers. He has played an active role in major golf-related organizations such as the NGCOA, NGF, and is frequently quoted as a market expert in industry trade journals like Golf Business, Golf Word and Golfweek, as well national newspapers including the Wall Street Journal.
Matt’s commitment to growth and development coupled with his vast industry experience will be instrumental in the long term success of Green Golf Partners. He will be responsible for the company’s business development efforts, its administration and will play a role in operations. His talent in business development is the perfect balance to Tom Rodem’s expertise in (and love of!) operations.
Prior to joining Crown Golf Matt enjoyed an entrepreneurial lifestyle as the co-founder and owner of a popular adventure sports company. Matt has traveled around the world and has been fortunate to hunt, fish and golf in 21 countries on 4 continents and 36 of the 50 states. He is currently the Finance Chairman on the Board of Directors for Children’s Hope International – an international adoption and children’s aid agency, and is personally dedicated to improving the health and welfare of children in need all over the world.
Matt has a hard time determining his defining sports moment. It was either winning all 18 skins from his good friends Dave Warchot, Don Yrene and Ed Shimkus at the Golf Club Scottsdale (Ed has yet to recover from the shock!) – or – catching a 125 lb. piraracu on the Amazon with his good buddy Larry Dahlberg from popular television show “Hunt for Big Fish”. Only time will tell... |
